Too Much KFC? Is that really possible?

No, no, no you jag. Katie Compton. Check the link below for a very cool video.

Video - Katie Compton Cyclocross Promo Video on CyclingDirt

Posted using ShareThis

Thats a cool promotional video that KFC's husband Mark Legg put together. It'll be interesting to see who her sponsors are next year in the tumultous world of cyclocross. She was racing a Stevens this year, next year who knows? Focus is trying to get an increased prescence here and that would be a sweet ride.

This has been a wild week, because not only do we have the video to watch, there's a great feature in Road Magazine thats more focused on who she isas a human than the normal bike mag questions like "so Katie, do like Grifos?". Kinda cool to get behind the scenes. She talks about growing up, racing all kinds of good stuff.

Road is also a cool mag because the photography is exceptional and again, the writing is above the gearhead stuff we get handed most of the time. So how do you find it? Look for the large format glossy with TIM JOHNSON on the cover. Did I fail to mention that? yeah, you need this. TJ and KFC in a roadie mag, well played. I love getting props from the roadies. And if you didnt buy Road then you're probably too cheap to hand out the measley sheckels for Cyclocross Magazine

Seriously, are there that many of you that dont get this? Cheap bastards. Its great stuff and the only CX oriented mag that Im aware of. Aaron even guilted Dug into cracking the wallet(i heard there was a loud creaking sound and then lotsa dust) This issue may be their best yet with loads of product reviews, tips and tricks and interviews with a certain Mr Stybar as well as Ms Compton.

Anything more than this and KFC is going to list you as a stalker, but its cool to see what the top racers have to say and feed your cross jones here in the off-season.

For now we'll keep riding the mtn bikes in the snow, which is totally hard but super fun and waiting for spring. Might I remind you all that I have sworn a blood oath against Punxatawnee Phil for our extra 6 weeks. I'll get you rodent, just wait!
