Unless you're like our friend Myerson riding in the Tuscon sunshine(go ahead, take a moment and hate him just a little. Its what he wants), you've probably been riding either the trainer/rollers or the mtn bike in the snow. Both of these are tough on the "nether regions" and quality product must be applied.
I've tried a number of different chamois cremes as I'm very conscious of having a chaffee area. I'm cranky enough as it is, no?
I recently got ahold of the winston's brand cobble creme and gave it a go. I've tried the DZ Nutz, Belgium Butt'r and the Mad Alchemy products. All are fine with different positives. For me, this is a product line that when it works, I shouldn't notice. The Winston's Brand did exactly that. 2 hour trainer rides? No problem. Long, wet, snowy mtn bike rides? Check. The only thing I haven't gotten to try it with is a long hot road ride and let's face it....that'll be awhile.
The cobble creme is relatively scent free and goes on without the "tingle" you get from DZ's product. That's a personal choice issue and I BEG YOU, do not corner me with a conversation about how much you like a tingle there. I will de-friend you in every sense possible.
At $20.00 its reasonable and shipping to you non-villagers is only a finsky. What you get is as described by the chef as
Winston’s Cobble Cream is our version of the everyday chamois creme. It is my favourite for rides up to 4 to 5 hours, and does a good job in the rain. It has been enhanced with tea tree oil and a little sunflower oil for their great properties. It is an all vegan base, and is paraben and petroleum free. $20.00Price: $5.00P&P:
