Let The USGP Rumpus Begin!

Its finally upon us. The USGP Derby City Cup is this weekend!!! Damn right its worth 3 exclamation points. We get our first chance to race on the new course @ Sandman(without being called Vandals), a chance to watch top pro level cyclocross right here in the village and we get to party with our friends at the Rogue tent.
Let me just say that the later the day goes, the stranger the strangers in the tent seem to get.
Don't forget that this event doesn't build itsself, so go pound stakes and wrap some tape. You're building your own course here. This way you can scout the best heckling spots.
Also....attention gamblers...we will be taking wagers on how many laps I will get in the SingleSpeed race before being pulled. I have a feeling meester dug will be the bookie for the day. So bet and bet often as the proceeds will go to the Little Rogue Urban Achievers or as we call it "the lush fund"
Let's face it, this is the first time you people can make eye contact with someone @ Sandman. Stand proud and bring your cowbells and vuvuzelas.

evel-jack asked about you this week when we mentioned the USGP. now he wants to know why someone would live in Minnesota. We had no answers.
The SS race runs WITh THE FREAKING 2/3's so 45 min. so place your bets accordingly.
reports, excuses and souvenir photos will be available throughout the week and weekend.

as if 138 and 144 riders weren't enough already. are they starting you at the back fo the field?

okay, don't take this wrong, but 150+ racers + your first SS CX races (yes?) + this (http://jimmerc.blogspot.com/2010/10/jordan-cullen-wins-cat-12-baker-orchard.html) 15-yr old in the 2/3 field who's winning 1/2 races up here = 25 minutes. respect, yo.

say hey to the evel-jack for me. actually, say hey to the whole damn brood. as for living in MN: you thin-blooded AL/KY folk wouldn't understand.
