Post-Mini and Pre-Short Track Blues Explosion

I keep going back to JSBX this week and I dont know why. Check the Black Flag cover. Lovely.
Maybe its because the Rogue nation crushed the Derby Festival Mini Marathon in its asterisk yeared new course? PR's all around. Not a bad way to start the day.
I ran under an assumed identity due to some previous and well covered financial challenges. That meant that @mynameiswilson and I were vying for top wilson. We started out fast and eased into a really comfortable, yet surprisingly brisk pace. We stayed steady and were feeling like world beaters, until zachael(@bikezen and @sourceofdenial) bounced past us in gazelle-like fashion. No, I wont pick a more masculine animal. Im just bitter that way.
I ended up pipping Ben for fastest Wilson in our group but just narrowly. According to the results, I ran like a fairly fast young lady....hmmm. I did feel pretty that day. It didnt hurt that Fallgirl kept cheering us on from different locations. The new course is pancake flat and fast as all get-out. That didnt make the later miles hurt any less, we just got to them(and thru them) faster.
Great finishes from the aforementioned as well as DUG, Ana, Bessie and Im sure Purvis mightve lapped me.

Now that, thats behind us I get to spend some time flying back and forth to New Jersey for some new job training....yeah. Whats better than leaving New Jersey? Not many things. Its like the end of an Alannis Morrisette song about irony. Youre glad its over because nothing about it was right. Soon, soon peoples this will all be over.

Did everybody get the latest copy of xxcmagazine? run your ass over to www.xxcmag.com so you can read Joe Bellante's take on the Death March and see some great photos of RRP folks getting way lost as described here previously. You read Bellante, right? click the link and hump on JB's leg for just a bit. Its good stuff.

After that we have the Short Track Series starting at the end of the month. We hope too still host this at Eva Bandman but a return to Seneca is always a possibility. I cant wait for the fast and dirty, and for the t-shirts that our boy Kacha at Stomach of Anger is putting together.
Check his stuff out here
He's the real deal, y'all.

More from the Short Track preparations as they come. I'll post the t-shirt as soon as Kacha finishes dealing with our transitive ideas and changes....sigh. It's going to be great and you know that somewhere on there it'll have at least
3 Words......
